The Dead Daisies are back, the hard rocking, riffing rock band are back in the saddle, this time with a fully fledged covers album that promises to bring the heat.

“Midnight Moses,” starts things off, it gallops and drives things along, as the guitars crunch and everything starts getting into focus, it becomes a blinding deceiver and driver, excellent choice to opening the album off. “Evil.” is a jagged and rip roaring song designed to show off the vocals, and allow the listener a chance to swing to the melody. “Fortunate Son,” that classic raging anthem against the establishment sounds heavy as anything here. It is filled with passion and chaos, and something else entirely that makes this take so refreshing. “Join Together,” shifts and slides, the riffs are furious and the melodies are aggressive, perfection. “Helter Skelter,” is another chaotic song that gets given new treatment to allow for serious melodical charge.

“Bitch,” another thunderous tome, that snarls and bites and spits. “American Band,” performed live and driving the thunder is something that truly moves with grace and precision. Excellently done. “Revolution,” roars with might and demands attention, attention the listener will willingly give. “Rockin In The Free World,” another live version with added thunder lives up to the original, if not quite surpassing it. “Highway Star,” a fitting finale allows the band to go absolutely nuts.
