Israeli prog trail blazers Scardust return with a brand new album entitled Strangers.

It opens with a blazing inferno in the form of “Overture For The Estranged,” which soars and sings and sinks nicely into “Break The Ice,” a song which hits the strings hard and snakes its way into being through the turnstiles of the human mind and condition. Then there’s “Tantibus II,” a song which breathes ferocious energy and hooks the listener in quite intently.

What follows is another series of hard hitting songs such as “Concrete Cages,” which includes a contribution by Patty Gurdy, then there’s “Over,” which is a real riff sandwich, a song that saunters through mists of time and pushes boundaries to their full completion.

The finale of the album is an epic journey that sees the band traverse through the stratosphere. Songs such as “Gone,” “Addicted,” and “Mist,” allow the guitars to shred a beaten pathway into oblivion, whilst the vocals soar into the air and capture the listeners imagination for a good while.

This is a phenomenal album. Be sure to get it when it is released on 30th October.
