“Betrayal At The Sea,”hits hard like a battering ram. It is the perfect start to Old Mother Hell’s new album Lord Of Demise. This is a song that sets the mission statement and ensures the listener knows what’s what.

This is then followed by songs such as “Avenging Angel,” and the title track “Lord of Demise,” that truly capture the spirit of insanity that is Old Mother Hell. They are a band that is in peak form and it truly shows. The riffs, the solos and the melodies are all positively brimming with confidence.

“Estranged,” mixes things up a little. It brings a bit more of an epic flavour to proceedings, turning the screws ever so slightly.

Something that bleeds in nicely for “Edge of Time,” and “Shadows Within,” two songs that are sure to get the crowd screaming their heads off when these songs are performed live.

“Another Fallen Savior,” and “Finally Free,” push things to their natural conclusions and show off the band’s ability to create absolute epicness in the process.

This gem of an album is out on 23rd October, be sure to get it!
