What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences and are they the same as when you started out?
We were running through a bunch of ideas of names that were sci fi or cyberpunk related.
one day we were talking about Fear Factory’s album Obsolete, and kiel was like “how about ObsELITE? and we all looked at eachother and were like “yeah thats the one”
How do you approach songwriting?
Theres nothing to it honestly. all 3 of us work together so well. each one of us has an idea, we create and record it, throw more ideas on top of it, come up with a theme based on what it sounds like, and BOOM we got a track. We have alot of fun recording the music ourselves. its hard work but at the same time its also so much fun.

Why do you write the sort of music that you do?
we are all big sci fi and Cyberpunk fans and we all realized that there really isn’t any kind of modern metal bands that are making music based on Sci Fi concepts and ideas. Metal bands are all so focused on recycling the same ideas over and over again and we are focused on future technologies and the influence it has on mankind.
How do you decide what songs to perform live?
We still have yet to play our first live show. we have been more focused on creating content. we have a bunch of things we are currently working on.
we are planning a huge debut show in Detroit Michigan USA at a cyberpunk themed event that we are hosting!

What plans do you have for the future?
More music, Music videos, touring, hopefully land a good record deal, and gain enough traction that can turn ObsElite into a powerhouse.
