Ten

“Better Part of Me,” comes rocking in hard. That riff is sure to get people going, and the vocal arrangement shows off the power and the grace. Swerving in and out, deserving the pressure and the glory. “Lay It Down,” smashes the ground, pounding through the church bells, and delivering a hanging man’s verdict. Simply brutal. “Forget Forgive,” shimmers along the line. That riff is something else entirely, filled with guts and glory. “Now Or Never,” pounds the ground and the synth adds to how simply extravagant the whole thing is. What a performance, and what delivery! “Ten,” the title track comes barrelling in, slowly, like a tsunami about to strike. Delivering the crux of an argument behind the lines and then shimmering into chaos. “Shine,” glorifies the moment, and delivers something else entirely. Shifting through, turning the world upside down.

“Let It Be Love,” comes in slowly, with that eighties feel to it, the octave guitar leads, draw in the emotions, and the Sweet croons at the listener, definitely a song that would bring about a fair few tears in the audience when performed live. “Never Alone,” shimmering down the line, rocking through the madness and producing something quite extraordinary. “When Love Is Hated,” swaggers through on a blinding riff that changes complexion and make up as the song progresses. “With You Till The End,” clangers on, with some interesting divergences here and there, but ultimately it delivers. “Ricochet,” moves with swagger. The riffs are all on point, and there is something quite catchy about the melody that ensures the listener jangles through. “Son of Man,” roars through, smashing and grabbing, before whirling through the wind like a mad man.

The album is out on October 11th via Frontiers Music.
