“Seven Ancient Artifacts,” is the bombastic and powerful opener to the new Marius Danielsen album. It captures something mystical and magical in the performance of the band. It displays charm and charisma and shows off just what it wants to be.

“The Ballad of Arnoth The Wild,” swishes and shakes. Bringing around the whirlwind of time that captures humanity’s spirit for all the world to see. Turning through the screw drivers that bring about melodical contentment.

“Battle For Eloroth,” is glorious. Bombastic, soulful, powerful and direct. It shimmies through the darklands and delivers some intriguing concepts. A song that will get the crowd going when live shows eventually return.

“Bane Of Lord Cremortius,” shimmers through. Delivering an intriguing concept of time and space. It works through the whirlwind, turning the darkness into light and producing a stark reminder of the power of simplicity.

“Deep In The Mountain,” brings the heaviness. Pushing through the focal point of time and space, it unwinds through the tempestuous wave and slashes through the listener’s preconceived notions.

“Stars Will Light The Way,” is epic and a great way to bring the album to a conclusion. What a way to go.

The album is out on 7th May.
