Manticora return with the follow up to their 8th album To Kill To Live To Kill with a brand new opus that is sure to get hearts racing.

“Katana,” kicks things off. A haunting, surreal and somewhat cerebral song bursts out into the open. The guitars let loose and the vocals soar into being, pushing the boundaries of what is and isn’t acceptable.

“To Nanjing,” flits on the boundaries. A song that brings melody, perseverance and downright doggedness to the fore. A song that truly captures the spirit of the album.

“The Farmer’s Tale Pt 3,” shifts through the tide, bringing together an intriguing collection of battering melodies, and soaring vocals.

“Slaughter In The Desert Room,” taps into something new and exciting. Pushing the boundaries of time and space, it allows the listener to truly capture the feeling of the song and to see where the insanity is going.

“Through The Eyes Of The Killer,” is haunting, dark and foreboding. A song that builds on the riffs and turns them into a chaotic foothold of insanity and perserverance.

“Katana: Death Of The Meaning Of Life,” pushes things to an entirely new level, swanning through the bounds of time and smashing the listener into the ground.

“Tasered/Ice Cage,” hits a new note. The melodies twist through the strands of time, bringing things toward the intersection of melody and space. Lining the pathways of time toward the destruction of the land.

“Goodbye Tina,” starts off slowly and cleanly before letting the heaviness take over and bleed on into the melody, turning the song into an epic.

“Tasered/Removal,” hits another note. The riffs are heavier and more pressing, the boldness is within the details.

“Stalin Strikes,” is haunting.

“Ten Thousand Cold Nights,” is an interlude to the insanity approaching.

“Katana: Beheaded,” is the grand finale. A song that smashes down the doors, pushes through the lined pathways of time and delivers something impeccable and melodic and soulful. A fitting finish.

The album is out on 28th August, be sure to get it!
