Electric music pioneer Klause Schulze is back with his first album in five years, and boy is it a journey. Starting with the title track Silhouettes, one gets the feeling of where Mr Schulze’s head is at. The song is ethereal, melodic, dark, brooding, and so much more, a real journey. Der Lange Blick zuruck is another journey through time and space, the swells, the shapes, all of it combining to make something vast and explorative.

Quae Simplex is somewhat quirky, slightly uplifting and moving, it is a unique take on some electric music. Chataeux faits de vent is ambient, grooving and something entirely unique compared to the rest of the album. It hinges on various strands of music, melodies and sharp turns.

If you’re a fan of melodic electronica, be sure to get this album when it is released on 25th May via Oblivion/SPV
