King Mothership return with a deftly produced and crafted album entitled The Ritual.
“Hope,” is anthemic and magical, a song that really gets the listener involved. “Cosmic Meltdown,” then shifts through the shimmering binds of time, to deliver a world filled with hope and maybe some solutions. “Gold,” is another song that wraps itself around and twists through.
“Babby,” gets the piano to work through and delivers a push and shove to the listener, getting them right in the gut. It bleeds into the “Goodnight My Darling,” shimmers through the periphery taunting the listener with a desire for something more and something else.
Finishing up with “The Devil’s Train,” “Imminent Question,” and “I Stand Alone,” mixes heaviness, soulfulness and passion into one fiery combination that shows off just where the band stand.
A phenomenal album out on 2nd October via Century Media Records.
