“Procurement Of The Victuals,”is a snarling introduction, brief clip which contains a lot of action.
“Cubensis,” moves quickly. Soon captivating the listener with the subtle inflections of melody and darkness within. The lyrics are quite compelling, and the vocal performance that delivers them is beyond this world.
“The Cull,” gets all robotic, before bombarding the listener with energy and chaos. Delivering demonic destruction in a plaid suit.
“Contrapasso,” fulfils a contrarian need, and shifts into over gear. Producing some fascinating little shifts and changes as it progresses, the song’s main hook is the big and ballsy riff at the beginning that continues driving the song.
“Speaking of Orbs,” haunts the listener right out the gate. That opening melody line is surely going to get a lot of people hooked. And as the song progresses, the power behind the song continues, and simply expands out into the wider stratosphere.
“Tripolar,” bites hard. It takes a sharp turn or two before ultimately delivering a knock out blow at a time when the listener barely expects it.
“Check Your Misfortune,” snaps and crackles. Bringing with it some fascinating little detours, and allowing the listener to really sense where the hit is.
“Pangloss,” rolls in and twists the knife ever so slightly, bringing with it some interesting melodical choices, alongside a solid riff.
“Sour Everythings,” really brings the innovation to the next level. The riffs meld together to produce a song that is as catchy as it is complex. A great way to finish things off.
The album is out on 28th February via Metal Blade Records.
