“The Oncoming Storm,”is a slow building metamorphosis that plays on all the right elements, mainly suspense and chaos to really get the listener hooked as they dig into this new album by Intense.

“End of Days,” comes barrelling in on the back of galloping riff. As the song progresses, the story unfolds in a burst of lightning and snarls. The vocals are on point and you can tell that vocalist Sean Hetherington is really feeling himself here.

“Head Above Water,” grooves quite nicely. The guitars jangle into one another, providing some nice running material. The vocals once more narrate the story and get the listener invested into the narrative of the song.

“Final Cry,” starts off slowly, before building into a crescendo, with guitarists Nick Palmer and Dave Peak really delivering on the harder edges. A slam dunk is found in the middle section of song, and the band are onto a winner here.

“I Agonise,” moves with a careful rhythm, slowly turning the screws, and bringing things through to a moderate pace. Some of synths really add a darker texture to proceedings ensuring that the listener is ill at ease.

“Songs Of A Broken Future,” contains a fascinating piano melody that starts things off. It slowly but surely gets the listener to feel the message of the song. As things pick up you can feel the emotion and the sense of bombosity within growing stronger. The guitars are on point throughout this song.

“The Social Elite,” is a scathing critique of those who would seek to pass judgement on others, whilst living in gilded castles. The song soars from point to point, shredding in places and eventually coming down like a whip crack.

“The Jester’s Smile,” is somewhat dark and chaotic. Floating through on the edge of time and patience, it hovers on the brink. Delivering something that will make listeners really stand to attention, the song is a perfect reflection of the chaotic times we live in.

“The Tragedy Of Life,” gallops into being. Setting the right stores into being and pushing through any sort of limitation to ensure that the listener hooked from the get go. The little stops and starts that are peppered throughout the song make this one of the most fascinating songs on the record.

“Until The Memories Fade,” mixes together some fascinating concepts and pushes the barriers as to what can and cannot be considered within this metal sphere of ours.

“Stand Or Fall,” is heavy and fast. Furious charges are also in the mix, making this song one of a kind.

“Children of Tomorrow,” is the epic finisher of this album. A song that combines previous elements found on the record. Anthemic choruses, and a driven rhythm and beat ensure that the listener will be singing this song long into the night.

The album is out on March 27th.
