“Benediction,” into “Redeemer,” is a fantastic intro. “Redeemer,” is a galloping slay that delves deep into the intricacy of time and space. Bringing the fury and the fire that the band is so well known for. Harry Conklin is on fire, soaring above the parapet.

“Last Man Standing,” is a riff sandwich. A song that thunders through the temperature. Delivering the goods and hitting every single note that one can think of. Conklin is on fire once more, whilst the band lock in and get the groove moving.

“Darkest Before The Dawn,” gallops to the charge. A call to arms that surges into being, bringing the melodies and the heartfelt notions to the fore. A brilliant call.

“Curse Of The Gypsy,” is heaviness incarnate. Pressing on the deviling incantation. Shattering the turnabout and hitting the right vagabond for the time.

“Sabbat Stones,” is a riff heavy, melody centric song that gets the balance right. Burning with passion, delving into the limelight and hitting the strands of incarnation.

“The Summoning,” is heavy and soulful. Burning with desire and passion. Tearing through the great divide and driving the bullets into their frantic minds.

Heaviness abounds. Heathen Cross is out on 31st May via High Roller Records. Do yourself a favour and get this record!
