Ethereal and haunting, Chalice start off their new record with “Silver Cloak,” a song that comes barrelling in on all fours. It contains some mighty powerful riffs and an interesting shift in change tone. The vocals scream their way into your face, ensuring you cannot forget them. Perfect.
“Drowning In Dream.” slows things down, brings out the acoustic guitar and shifts the story away from break neck and toward something more thoughtful and haunting.
“Parallel Path,” is haunting. It combines the previous two songs into one absolute master piece. It brings the carnage and the furore together and ensures that the listener cannot forget about the melodies weaving themselves into their mind. A perfect way to finish things off, and an absolute corker.
