Axel Rudi Pell is one of the greatest guitarists of his generation, his new live album captures perfectly the feeling of seeing him perform.

Starting with “The Medieval Overture,” and “The Wild and The Young,” the listener is given the real feel of being present within the audience, watching the maestro and his band at work, slaying through conventions. “Wildest Dreams,” continues the onslaught, riffing itself away and driving the wedge completely. “Fool, Fool,” another rocker that displays the true talents of Mr Pell, and allows the listener to truly enjoy the range and depth of the talent on display. “Oceans Of Time,” is reflective, slow and thoughtful. “Only The Strong Will Survive,” shreds through and rips a new one for the audience. “Mystica,” is simply haunting, and includes a drum solo that beats the shit of the listener. “Long Live Rock,” shreds the house down bringing something else entirely to the fore.

“Game Of Sins and Tower of Babylon,” shreds the house down, including a keyboard solo for those who doubt the true religion. “The Line,” brings an entirely new dimension to proceedings, ripping the roof of off things. “Warrior,” rocks and shreds and gets the crowd going absolutely mental. “Edge Of The World,” is soulful and entertaining, it even includes  a band introduction. “Truth and Lies,” another great shredder that allows Pell to show off both his rhythm and lead chops. “Carousel,” another song that veers this way and that, bringing the riff house before the listener and ensuring that they’re hooked. “The Masquerade Ball,” haunting, simply haunting. “Rock The Nation,” finishes things off, and brutalises the listener’s ears with its pure energy.

The album is out on 7th June via Steamhammer/SPV.
