An Interview With We’re All Aliens

An Interview With We’re All Aliens

SAVE ROCK AND ROLL

Tell us a little bit about your band and what your influences are?

Born on the banks of the River Mersey and part forged in Paris, We’re All Aliens are here to save rock’n’roll, or at the very least encourage the further use of the apostrophe.  We’re all made up of JJ (vocals), Biff (guitars), The Big A (drums) and Monsieur Laurent Baruqc (bass).

We’ve been described as sounding a bit like Alter Bridge and Black Stone Cherry which is interesting because I wouldn’t have mentioned them as a possible influence.  When I listen back to the album I can hear The Cult, Audioslave, Motley Crue, Velvet Revolver, The Who, Queen and even U2.  There’s a bit of groove in there too so many a hint of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Prince too.

What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

The current single is ‘Second Chances’ the third and final single off our debut album ‘Get A Life’ which was released in February.  The whole album is reflective of the influences mentioned earlier and so if you like big ass melodic rock songs with a hint of 80’s and 90’s influence because that’s where we mined for our favourite music then there will be something for you.

CONGREGATION

What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

Well currently there are no live shows due to the pandemic.  But when we return, expect a huge rock n roll church in which we lead the congregation in collective worship.

Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

Hopefully to bigger and better things.  A wider audience.  Being able to say that we remain a viable entity, commercially and creatively.  Playing to great crowds around the world whilst washing our face!
