MAJESTIC

What inspired the formation of the band and why do you write the music that you do?

As the vocalist of The Waymaker & Narnia had a band earlier together with Jani Stefanovic guitarplayer/vocalist of The Waymaker, Solution45 & Miseration called Divinefire. We did 5 albums between 2004-2011.

Jani got in touch with me again in 2018 and had some ideas but I was occupied with Narnia so we couldn’t started the process until October 2019 where we wrote songs to develop Melodic Metal for the 2020’s and also have a Female Voice included to get a more unique sound and in early 2020, Jani’s wife Katja Stefanovic joined.

We wanted to have Heavy majestic parts, fast parts and also neoclassical and symphonic elements where Jani show what an Amazing Guitar player he is.

Did the Covid Pandemic impact the recording of the new album at all? If so how?

In our case actually, we got more time to focus on the recordings. But we live in different countries Sweden & Finland so we haven’t met. I have recorded my parts in Sweden and also film my parts for the videos but hopefully we will meet soon.

What songs are you most proud of on the new album?

I think the whole album is a very strong debut album but my personal favourites are “The Waymaker,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Marching On,” & “I am Sustained.” We are dealing with the world situation, the good and evil. We all meet and ask the question “who is my Waymaker ?!” “who is your Waymaker?!”

What themes are explored on the new record?

We are all Christians in the band and like the ideals Jesus was talking about. We see him as the ultimate Waymaker.

We have songs about the younger generation as we all have young children so it is an album that wants to go a little deeper and we hope the songs inspire you to get a better future and to be good Waymakers for each other You and I.

We are all Christians in the band and like the ideals Jesus was talking about. We see him as the ultimate Waymaker.

TOUR

How are you planning on promoting the new album?

We have 4 singles planned and 4 videos and of course we are waiting patiently to go on tour. We have requests from several countries around the world so we hope 2021 will be a better year for touring and promoting The Waymaker.
