INTERNET

What inspired the name of the band and what are your influences?

The name of the band came up after one night’s search on the internet, we wanted it to sound like a rock n´roll band, like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones etc. Our influence thrives mostly through classic bands and artists from the 70´s, 80´s and 90´s, such as Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Motley, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Merciful Fate etc. – the era of that time has had a significant influence on all of us, some of the best albums are made in that period!

How do you approach songwriting? Are there any themes that you are keen to explore when you start off?

Thomas Trold writes all lyrics himself and most of the writings is actually done at home, and in the rehearsal-room. The lyrics has a wide life expression, containing personally experiences, crisis, broken relationships, people in general, who we are and so on…Death, life and love are mainly the subjects through our songs, which most people can relate to. But whatever comes to mind and perhaps depending on which emotional stage you’re in. But the whole process is mostly done by Thomas Trold has an idea and we´ll then start adding some drums to it and see how that works. Afterwards would be adding all other instruments and giving everybody their opinion to the process. We have known each other for quite some time, so we have gotten a wider understanding towards each other, and all members tends to be on the same page in process of making music.

MTV

Why do you write the sort of music that you do?

Mainly from watching MTV in the 80´s – You wanted to be a Rockstar, just by watching those videos at that time! We had an old youth club, with a typical rehearsal room containing broken instruments – but they had what we needed – spending all possible hours playing. Those days really had a significant impact in wanting to play, and the inspiration to play and write the sort of music we do.

How do you decide what songs to perform live and how do you transpose them into that live setting?

Choosing songs for a live show is an important process to us – we need to have all in consideration, like the feel and tempo…the transition from one song to the next one – perhaps adding some gimmicks or a medley, or even play a classic song that the audience  recognise. We need to have a certain kind of flow and excitement, in order to maintain the audience interest – so a well-crafted set list is essential for us.

REHEARSALS

What plans do you have for the future?

Due to the situation worldwide, the concert schedule is still in the making – but hopefully we will play this year with a couple of concerts in Copenhagen. But at the moment it´s all about rehearsals – and getting in shape for the summer. Writing new music and at the same time planning the next music video for Foodchain Victim. There is still a lot to look forward to in the near future.
