An interview with Pressure
What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences?
The name of the band is Pressure and that’s the main inspiration for us and all our music. We want to write and play music that helps people with their different pressures of their life. The music is all based on true stories and encounters that we have had. All music should be written from a truth and there is so many stories literary walking around out there that needs to be told. So that’s both the meaning of the band, our main influence and our fuel. The Pressures all around us that needs to be addressed!
How do you approach songwriting? Are there any themes that you are keen to explore when you start off?
As I said, we always start with a story. And to get to know the stories you must dare to live life and experience it. You need to throw yourself out there and be in the middle of everything around you. Life is a wonderful thing but can be hard sometimes but its through our hardest trials the greatest victories comes! So our song writing comes from ourselves and those around us and every story. We usually writes a draft and then re works the song and the lyrics a lot of times before getting into the final recording processes! So there is a lot of work behind each and every song.

Why do you write the sort of music that you do?
Why? Well, its more of a calling. We cannot stop writing the style it speak to us and urges us to be written. I can wake up in the middle of the night with a guitar riff or a blasting melody or an idea that just need to be written!
How do you decide what songs to perform live and how do you transpose them into that live setting?
We have been working really hard to perform our songs live! Its important for us to deliver a good and hard rocking show and to connect with our audience. As we put much effort into both the lyrics and the music we try to pour as much into the live shows as well. So you can be sure of that when going to a live show with Pressure, you will FEEL the Pressure!

What plans do you have for the future?
We just released our Swedish Christmas song Julstress! If you watch it on Youtube you will get English subtitles so that will be great! Another good thing is that next year will hold the first full length Pressure album! That will be so great!
