What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences?

“The origin of the name of the band was a simple trip to Juarez, Mexico contracting the clap by our infamous first singer Dave “Loco Pelon” McNutt, who in many ways tried to emulate GG Allin, and stated that when he tried to urinate it felt like PISSING RAZORS.  Influences, to name a few….Pantera, Gojira, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Sepultura, Kiss, Van Halen, ZZ Top, Grand Funk, Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin.’ JOE, MAT, GEO, EDDY

How do you approach songwriting? Are there any themes that you are keen to explore when you start off?

“I approach song writing in many different ways or sometimes not at all. I never use themes simply because I write in a very spontaneous manner. Things happen around us 24hrs a day and affect us in many different ways spiritually emotionally and physically so there is always a topic to inspire and or use as a therapeutic tool.” JOE RODRIGUEZ, Vocals

Why do you write the sort of music that you do?

“I love the energy and the intensity that comes with performing heavier music and the bond it creates with listeners that connect with something I’m a part of composing. Music is a journey and so when I write, I try to invite the listener in with me to ride that feeling and emotion it gives me and take away from it what they will for themselves.”   MAT LYNCH, Guitar

How do you decide what songs to perform live and how do you transpose them into that live setting?

“As per deciding what we are playing live, we do it as a band. And at this point, we have a lot to choose from! I believe the objective is to keep the energy level high from start to finish!” EDDY GARCIA, Drums

What plans do you have for the future?

“Plans are to have everyone we can grab a copy and give a listen to the return of PR. Have them hear and feel the Brutal riffs and grooves that separates PR from others get them excited about the band coming back with a vengeance. Get a few shows under are belt and start riffing up tunes for the next release.  It would be great to play The Wacken Fest and or Bloodstock.. Get some shows in the Mid-West, East Coast area, A tour with Gojira would would be incredible also Killer Be Killed would be a great group to tour with.” GEO GOMEZ, Bass
