MARMOR

What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences?

Our bass player’s last name is Marmor. When I first met him I thought he said “More!More!” So I called him that for a least a month. When we started a band, the name choice seemed obvious. We have so many influences it’s hard to really pin one down. From Motown to punk rock we like it all.

How do you approach songwriting? Are there any themes that you are keen to explore when you start off?

For me I usually writer my best songs when I am feeling a strong emotion. That could be anger, joy, sadness, whatever. But I usually try to articulate those emotions into music.

FORGET

Why do you write the sort of music that you do?

I feel like for me music is whatever helps you forget all the outside bullshit and just connect with the moment  and the song. “One good thing about music when it hits you, you feel no pain”. Bob really nailed it there!

How do you decide what songs to perform live and how do you transpose them into that live setting?

We try to build a set that will hook people right from the start and has some natural flows of intensity. We definitely like to end off with a bang and leave people wanting More! More!

QUARANTINE

What plans do you have for the future?

Well with quarantine, its pretty hard to do much. But we are still writing songs and actually just produced a new single that will be coming out in the next month!
