What inspired the formation of the band, and what are your influences?
Elephant Memories as a band and Lunattack as a singer/ songwriter existed individually already many years.
But we joined forces because we love each others music and discovered that we are both PJ Harvey /John Cage/Pink Floyd fans and we are totally in love with the moon.
I lunattack travel a lot between Hamburg and Toulouse and was happy to find likeminded musicians in france.
Also I love singing in french, so that also opens my heart to this band. We mix english french german.
Also before I worked always with different musicians and to have a longer intense musical relationship sounded attractive to me
How do you approach songwriting?
Our compositions start often from improvisations in sessions in the rehearsal and than we listen and take out what we like and structure it.
We allow some songs to have no classical song structures with long instrumental parts that take us and our audience on a trancelike journey.
Themes for the songs feel like almost channeled because we let them come to us.

What themes are explored on the album?
We love the real world but also the unreal worlds, the universe and especially the moon!!!
so our songs on our Album Moon Kiss are a bit like a journey and the postcards of that Journey.
How do you plan on promoting the record?
After our release on 28.5 we will plan a livestream and as soon as corona allows us to travel we plan to play a little tour in Germany and France.
If the stars are with us we play 25.06. Kulturmanufaktur Altlandsberg und 5-7.8 Rocken am Brocken which will be going on Air through ArteTV (Zeitgleich Festival)
