What’s changed for the band between the new album and your last album?

Titan: We have chosen the album title Hammer King for two reasons: First of all, most of the songs tell about the person of thy Majesty, the Hammer King – and secondly this is a sort of reboot for us as a band: We are with Napalm Records now, who were our dream partner ever since, we have worked with Jacob Hansen for the mix and the mastering for the first time, as well as working with cover artist Péter Sallai and OV Thunder Clothing. This is indeed a brand new time for us and everything feels fresh and renewed.
Sonically, the album is much more up-to-date and the songs are even more on the spot than before.

How did you approach writing for the new album? Were there any specific themes you wanted to explore?

Titan: We have always desired having as many catchy songs as possible as we see us as a “live band.” The perfect song is a song that immediately wins over any listener, so we would be perfect on any support tour and especially on festivals. We have written around 30 songs and used 12 of them in order to get the most significant ones onto the album.
Early in the process we decided to lyrically focus on the Hammer King as we wanted to feature the King on the artwork for the first time. Mission accomplished!

What’s your favourite song from the album?

Titan: Of course it keeps changing all the time, but right now it is “Awaken The Thunder”, which also is the brand new video and single. Usually “Atlantis (Epilogue)” is among our faves as well as “Ashes To Ashes” and “King Of Kings.”

How do you plan on promoting the album?

Titan: First of all, we are lucky to be working with Napalm Records as they do a lot of promo for us, which enables us to connect with many people around the world. The more people we can talk to, the bigger the chance to attract new friends and fans. We will definitely play as many shows as possible – as soon as playing shows is coming back. We are not afraid to go out and bring our music to the people, we strongly believe that this is exactly, what Heavy Metal is made for. We are ready and we can’t wait to get the go!

God bless the King, may the King bless you!
