This latest single from Aleksi is a bit more emotional, a bit more emotive and a lot more functional in some regards. Starting with the pounding drums and the melody being played on the piano it creates a sense of anticipation when the vocals kick in, there is a definite sense that things are getting dark and thoughtful. A song that seems to be quite reflective, the title ‘Life Is A Funnel, Now I Understand’ displays a sense of heightened awareness that might previously have been missing. When the guitar enters it is with a soaring range and precision that adds to the sense that this is most definitely a military type procession.
